The Inria research centre in Lyon is the 9th Inria research centre, formally created in January 2022. It brings together approximately 410 people in 20 research teams and research support services.
Its staff are distributed in Villeurbanne, Lyon Gerland, and Saint-Etienne.
The Lyon centre is active in the fields of software, distributed and high-performance computing, embedded systems, quantum computing and privacy in the digital world, but also in digital health and computational biology.

Develop theoretical models tailored to superconducting qubit setups which can achieve the quantum advantage

Perfomring poscThe person recruited will integrate into the QInfo Inria team and will be performing research.
Principales activités
Main activities (5 maximum):
- Develop analytical models for quantum-controlled one- and two-qubit gate implementations in superconducting qubit platforms.
- Perform numerical simulations to assess gate speed, fidelity, and error mechanisms under classical and quantum drive schemes.
- Identify and characterize quantum advantages in gate control, especially in terms of reduced error rates and faster two-qubit operations.
- Design and evaluate improved gate protocols using non-classical control resources to enhance processor performance.
- Interpret and communicate results through collaboration, publications, and presentations within the broader quantum computing project.
