The role focuses on building predictive models, conducting deep statistical analyses, and generating high-impact business insights that support strategic decision making across Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe's portfolio.Your main responsibilities will include (non-exhaustive list):Lead Data Science & Advanced Analytics InitiativesDesign, develop, and deploy predictive models using Python and machine learning frameworksConduct advanced statistical analyses: hypothesis testing, regression modeling, time series analysis, causal inference, and cohort-based studiesBuild player segmentation models using clustering and behavioral analysisManage In-Game Behavioral AnalyticsSupport the appropriate events definition and tag planAnalyze player behavioral data to generate post-launch and live-ops insightsSupport A/B testing design and interpretation for in-game features and content updatesWork alongside the team to ensure data quality and analytical consistency on in-game datasets housed in SnowflakeDevelop NLP-Powered Player Feedback IntelligenceDesign and build NLP pipelines to collect, process, and analyze player feedback at scale from multiple sourcesDevelop sentiment analysis models to track player satisfaction trendsLeverage LLMs and GenAI for feedback summarization and classificationShape the Analytics Strategy & Platform UsageContribute to the analytics roadmap by identifying where advanced modeling and automation can improve existing processesLeverage Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric as core platforms for data analysis, model development, and insight deliveryPromote best practices in statistical rigor, reproducibility, and documentationCreate Impactful Reporting & Data VisualizationsDevelop automated dashboards and reports using Power BI and Microsoft FabricEnable stakeholder autonomy through well-documented, self-service dashboards and data literacy supportProfil5+ years in a data science or advanced analytics role, ideally within the video games or entertainment industryMaster's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or EngineeringProven track record of deploying predictive models or advanced statistical analyses that drove measurable business decisionsA first experience with in-game data analysis is expected (even partial or project-based), demonstrating the ability to work with behavioral player dataFluent in English (spoken and written)Genuine interest in video games and in using data to support decisionsSolid Python skills for data analysis and modeling (pandas, NumPy, scikitlearn, statsmodels, matplotlib/seaborn, Jupyter)Comfortable using LLMs and GenAI APIsExperience with modern data platforms: advanced SQL, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse, notebooks, Power BI integration)On Power BI, ability to build dashboards with DAX measures, data modeling, and interactive visualsStrong command of statistical methods: hypothesis testing, regression, A/B testing, causal inference, Bayesian approachesExperience in player or customer analytics: segmentation, LTV modeling, churn prediction, funnel and cohort analysisGood understanding of video game business models (premium, F2P, GaaS), player lifecycle and market dynamicsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyTeam-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skillsAutres informationsSounds interesting?Please send us your CV and cover letterin English (applications submitted in other languages will not be reviewed).Additional InformationJob location: 15 rue Félix Mangini, 69009 Lyon - France / This position is not eligible to full remoteContract: permanent / full-timeStart date:April 2026Remuneration:fixed and variable compensationBenefits:flexible working hours, 2 teleworking days per week, lunch vouchers, reimbursement of public transportation costs, work council advantages (gift vouchers, discount on services...), nice building with various facilities (gym room, gaming room, nap room, car / bike / scooter parking, cafeteria and coffee corners...)
