About the Role

As a Childcare Assistant, you will:

- Collect children (age 3+) from school
- Supervise snack time
- Lead fun, age-appropriate games and activities in English
- Care for children until parents return home

No formal teaching qualification is required. You will help children develop their English naturally through play and conversation.

Working Hours

- Flexible hours: 2 to 14 hours per week, depending on availability
- Sessions take place at a fixed time each week
- Weekday afternoons during term time (typically 4:00-6:00 pm)
- Wednesdays: morning, afternoon, or full day availability
- No sessions during school holidays unless otherwise specified

Training & Support

- Full training provided: How to teach English using only your voice
- Ongoing pedagogical and administrative support
- Assistance with French administration (contract understanding, social security registration, etc.)

Commitment

- Sessions run throughout the school year (1 September - 1 July)
- To ensure consistency for the children, applicants must commit to a minimum of 4 (September to December) or 6 months (January to end of June)
